My research focuses on the variety of Middle English manuscript cultures that existed in the Late Middle Ages. I have worked on manuscript corpora including the 180 + MSS of the Middle English prose Brut, on the English pseudo-Bonaventuran Lives of Christ, and I am now focusing my research in miscellaneous manuals for religious instruction being produced in England and especially London in the fifteenth century. I am PI for a Leverhulme Trust funded project, Whittington's Gift: Reconstructing the Lost Common Library of London's Guildhall.
